To the Editor:

Taxpayers in the private sector are noticing that public sector pensions are 2-10 times what they will get from Medicare or Social Security, and how Congress blithely talks about raising retirement age for Social Security. So you ask why taxpayers kept the GOP intact in Wisconsin? Really?

Good article about the London Riots. When people are pushed too hard, and the un-remitting class warfare that characterizes the “civilized” world certainly has just that effect, the consequences often seem uncoordinated. But I agree – there is nothing illegitimate or necessarily apolitical about explosive protest. In fact, we have rarely made progress on this planet without it.
