Dear Rochelle Metcalfe,
Thank you for memorializing Mr. Henry Irvin in your column. He was a true gentleman and scholar, a particular and talented musician, an even better teacher, and a loyal friend. I enjoyed seeing and listening to Henry when I had the opportunity on visits to San Francisco to see my family. I know my mom (Dorothy Lefkovits) will miss him as an accompanist, teacher, and friend, but I believe as you do, that he’s entertaining the Lord in heaven and once again able to dance with joy.
