My husband and I are older (74 and 76) tenants in a residential property here that has been foreclosed. Not only did we not get back our security deposit, but we paid over $16,000 in rent to a landlord who had defaulted on his mortgage. Worse, the property “reverted” illegally to an MBS Trust through a major bank Trustee, who then sold its non ownership to a third party. We have been fighting to retain our home for almost two years. Why are defrauded tenants deprived of their rights?
