A BIG “thank you” to Kenneth Glasgow and Dorsey Nunn for sharing Ban-the-Box information to me during a prior conference. The shared information has lead to he success of local level government Ban-the-Box legilation in the cities of: Newport News, Norfolk, City of Richmond, Portsmouth and currently awaiting decisions in Petersburg andCharlottesville. Since, a coalition of civil rights groups began theMobile Justice Tour, 15-city stops focusing on 3-key justice issues (civil rights restoration for citizens with felony convictions, removing questions about an applicant’s criminal background from initial employment forms, and programs for successful prisoner re-entry)affecting persons with a felony/crimina record. To it’s success, we are pleased to announce our non-profit, all volunteer 15-cities tour has expanded to 21-cities. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has” Margaret Mead.
