As I may have mentioned before, I do vote in favor of most tax increases, but I did not vote for K simply because I did not want a precedent set for this kind of “packaging” of unrelated issues in a single ballot measure. If it passes, then we will increasingly see this kind of packaging as a deceitful way to get less popular measures passed by hitching them to other measures. That is a bad way to go, and you too should discourage it.
Offer me a stand-alone measure for a sales tax increase for homelessness and I will vote for it.
