Subject: Will Bay Area Media Blitz Impact Homelessness?

Good article on the questionable impact of this week’s media coverage of homelessness.

Probably those coordinating the media coverage would answer to your statement: “I asked a lot of politically engaged people how many stories they read this week and nobody had read more than two”, that they are going for those that aren’t politically engaged, breadth rather than depth.  That they want everyone to read two articles, or hear or see two radio or tv programs, not just those who are politically engaged.  Who knows if it will work.  As you say, there needs to be follow-up.  I do read that a number of communities are putting bond issues on the ballot for low-income housing.
