After much ado, the first Healthy Saturday in Golden Gate Park is set to take place this week! This Saturday, May 26th marks the first car-free space in the Park on Saturdays. As you probably know, this comes after nearly a decade of debate and wrangling and, finally, a compromise agreed upon lastmonth. We’ll be kicking off this historic happening at 12 noon on Saturday in the Park on JFK Dr. @ Tea Garden Dr. (near 8th Ave.)
We’re pretty certain it’s going to be a stunning success. At which point, lots of people will be asking Dede Wilsey of the deYoung Museum: “So, what were you so worried about?…..” Join us if you can!
