Led by Board President Aaron Peskin, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted yesterday to continue for one week the potential approval of a 6 unit condominium subdivision at 400-410 Vallejo. This is a building in which all of the tenants were evicted under the Ellis Act in a notice dated January 25, 1999. Supervisor Peskin challenged the City Attorney’s apparent opinion that the Board lacked authority to deny the conversion, a position that, if affirmed next week, would expose yet another glaring loophole in the city’s condo conversion law.
