ROMANTIC COMEDY IS ON SCREENS EVERYWHERE

Whether “Silver Linings” wins an Academy award, or not – you should see it. This movie will not leave your seat. You can’t get away from this very complicated story. “Silver” is an accurate and exciting look at a man that is Bi Polar. His mood swings are unexpected. His wife left him, and that makes his world even more haunting.

However there is hope. The film is not really depressing. There are many comedic situations. He meets a dancer, who is also bi-polar. They slowly fall in love with each other — and their connection. But life doesn’t always go according to plan. Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) has lost everything because of his mental problem. He’s lost his house, his job and his wife. His wife has left him and he has moved in with his Dad (Robert DeNiro) and his Mother (Jacki Weaver).

Through much trial and tribulation – Pat begins to fall in love with a dancer. She tries to calm him down by teaching him to dance. He begins to control his histrionics. It’s not easy – but in this case, love and humor works for both of them. It’s not a miraculous cure — but as they become a fascinating dance team — the clouds begin to leave his mind. Lives that were broken apart are now on the way to a fascinating new era.

The ending is absolutely spectacular. They have been cured — and they are now floating as if they just jumped on a ‘love boat’.

THE WONDERFUL CAST: Bradley Cooper (Pat) is just terrific. His Mother Jacki Weaver and his Father Robert DeNiro look like award winners to me. Also fantastic is Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Tucker. Great Direction by David O.Russell of this comedy, Drama Romance. Couldn’t be any better!

*Nominated for an Academy Award
