To the Editor:
I hate to admit Randy Shaw is right about President Obama’s lack of concern for the poor. This President has cut funding for food stamps to pay for his wife’s school lunch program, and allowed the Making Work Pay tax cuts for the working class expire while he extended tax cuts for the rich. He is using the excuse of budget deficits to cut programs such as Social Security that the working class depend on, even though Social Security is not part of the federal budget.
