On Sunday, Randy Shaw and Paul Hogarth will fly to Denver to attend the Democratic National Convention – and will provide live coverage, interviews with activists and analysis of speeches. Beyond Chron has been granted one press pass in the Pepsi Center – and one pass at the blogger’s “Big Tent.” This will be one of the most historic National Conventions, so bookmark this website and check in regularly.
Of course, we still don’t know who will be Barack Obama’s running mate. Reports are that he made his decision while vacationing in Hawaii, and will announce tomorrow morning. Joe Biden, Evan Bayh and Tim Kaine have been rumored as top finalists – but my gut says it’s probably someone else. If Obama made up his mind while on vacation, he probably picked someone he feels comfortable around – rather than a calculated political move. This has been the most widely speculated veep choices in recent memory, and the campaign has skillfully withheld any leaks. I’m guessing it will be Kathleen Sebelius.
