Margaret Jenkins on KQED’s weekly television series SPARK

by E. "Doc" Smith on November 11, 2005

In case you missed the original airing of the segment in February, KQED’s SPARK is re-airing the “Dance Masters” episode which highlights the work and projects of Margaret Jenkins. In this episode, SPARK follows the making of Jenkins’ site-specific work “Danger Orange.” The program takes the viewer from the streets of San Francisco to Beijing, China, with seldom seen historical footage from Jenkins’ career as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.

When: Friday, November 11th @ 11:00 pm
Where: KQED Public Television 9

SPARK is about Bay Area artists and arts organizations — it is a weekly television show, an educational outreach program and a website. More than a showcase for art objects and the artists who make them, SPARK takes the audience inside the creative process to witness the challenges, opportunities and rewards of making art.

Catch SPARK every Wednesday at 7:30pm and Fridays at 11pm on KQED Channel 9, and now see repeat broadcasts on KQED’s digital channels.
