The California Teachers Association has awarded it highest honor in the category of journals, magazines, special publications and websites to Lisa Schiff for her “School Beat” columns in Beyond Chron. Schiff will receive the 2012 John Swett Award for Media Excellence at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles on May 31. Having read nearly all of Schiff’s columns over her long tenure with BeyondChron, I have been consistently impressed with her passion, commitment to facts, and engaging writing style. We know how much our readers value Schiff’s articles, and it is good to see that the California Teachers Association also recognizes her accomplishments.
