Kindergarten Issues …

by on April 9, 2012

To the Editor:

Please keep this important issue of Kindergarten problems “in the news” — it will be so easy to let it be obscured by more glamorous headlines. As a concerned San Francisco citizen, I want to know that this local issue is resolved by the SFUSD and/or SF School Board as soon as possible. Are there other avenues Ms. Maldonado and the other parents can pursue? Is there an elected official or community member who would like to help expedite matters or refer her to another means of query and resolution? 275 children should not be lost in the bureaucratic shuffle! After all, we look forward to their citizenship and contributions for the future of our world, right?

To the Editor:

I believe Sacramento has the best interests of the kids in mind, but the budget reality has turned this into a mess. They should reverse the date change completely for 2012-2013, admit all TK pending students to normal Kindergarten, and figure out what exactly they can afford for the following year with enough time for schools to implement.
