San Francisco GIANTS celebrate FANS APPRECIATION this weekend, and final 3-game home stand series against the San Diego Padres, and, as it is, the end of the 2013 season that kicked off in April with high hopes of winning a third World Series ring! Not to be! Definitely number 13 not in their favor for they slide further down the NL West standings – struggling to get out of the basement!

Many of the players will not return next season – LHP TIM LINCECUM questionable. It will be a sad day for “Timmy” as Manager Bruce Bochy affectionately calls him, for he is loved by young fans especially. No longer the ROCK STAR – his pitching faltered this year – lost his MOJO! There were talks of trading him. At times, the 2-time CY Young Winner couldn’t last three innings, but after the All-star break, renewed confidence, seemed to get his pitch count up.

Prior to the ALL-STAR break, Lincecum thrilled fans the night of July 13! He pitched his FIRST NO-HITTER against the San Diego Padres – threw 148 pitches to make GIANTS history!

Prior to the game Friday night, the “WILLIE MAC Award” will be presented to the most inspirational player on the team voted by GIANTS players, coaches and fans. outfielder HUNTER PENCE comes to mind!
That same evening, Giants host AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE Night. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket sold will be donated to various charitable programs in the African American Community.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Oakland A’S, for the second year, clinched the AL division, despite low attendance in the stands all season!

The San Francisco 49ers are playing their LAST season at Candlestick Park before moving to their NEW stadium in Santa Clara – a SAD thought! OPENING day against Green Bay Packers was a winner, and great start to another year. Well, since then, game play have not looked good! OK, after QB COLIN KAEPERNICK and devastating lost in Seattle, at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks (overwhelming noise, rain delay due to thunder, lightning – MAN! ), expected to bounce back – Demolished 29-3!

Things had to get better at home – OUCH! Sunday, SHOCKED, QB ANDREW LUCK and The Indianapolis COLTS blew them away, 27-7!!!
Those of us gathered in the popular JAZZ ROOM on 3-street, within a short distance to the ’STICK, couldn’t believe what was happening!!!

WHAT’S GOING ON??? Kaepernick, sought after sexy STAR, handsome, fashionable under the bright lights OFF the field! Obvious he miss WR MICHAEL CRABTREE, out before the season could begin with injury, may be back in the huddle in November. AH, I sure miss their connection, the two looked good last season; giving hope for a great 2013 season.

MESSED UP!!! 49er linebacker ALDON SMITH made headlines Friday, arrested for drunk driving, drug charges – played Sunday. NOW in REHAB – lost to the team for awhile. Niners play the RAMS tomorrow night in St. Louis – will be a tough game!

THE BOTTOM LINE IS WINNING – Team in trouble, several players are out on injury list. Tight end VERNON DAVIS out Sunday with hamstring injury. QB Kaepernick and team have got to REGROUP – GET A GRIP! WIN!!!
