Famed Muralist James Reka’s Compelling New Tenderloin Vision

by Randy Shaw on October 11, 2013

Muralist James Reka flew in from Berlin this week to paint an extraordinary mural on McAllister Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. The mural is painted on the side of 146 McAllister, whose owner, Neveo Mosser, made the project possible. The mural is visible to traffic going down Hyde Street and borders the Hastings Law School student plaza. The entire mural (which Reka painted for no fee) can be seen here.
