California State Budget; Cesar Chavez and Thurgood Marshall …

by on July 17, 2009

To the Editor:

I’ve been trying to follow the CA budget story with some limited degree of success, but it’s still not plain or apparent where the money’s going to, why their spending has to be so high in the world’s 5th largest economy or whatever, and I just question the whole situation because I think it’s a bad model for any state to follow to not have a good handle on spending issues. If there’s parties involved that will see no reason or limit on their expenditure, then it’s up to the voters to divine out what’s really going on, and act accordingly, including by imposing spending limits.

To the Editor:

If the racists succeed in Texas, truth squads should saturate the state with “google cesar chavez and thurgood marshall to find out what the school board doesn’t want you to know” billboards and bumper stickers. Kids will learn & remember more that way than if they are taught it in school.
