Big NO on 98 Push in the Castro on Saturday

by Ted Gullicksen on April 30, 2008

Help defeat Prop 98 in the Castro this Saturday and save May 7 on your calendar for a big NO on 98 rally…

Join us this Saturday, May 3, 11 AM at Market & Castro Streets (right at the MUNI plaza) for our big push in the Castro this weekend. We’ll be delivering literature door to door throughout the neighborhood and we’ll begin with a mini-rally of sorts at this highly visible location. We’ll be joined by groups like Pride At Work and the Harvey Milk Club (as well as our usual allies from Sierra Club and the Bayview Affordable Housing Measure/Yes on F).

As we fan out to deliver our message door to door, tabling will continue all day—so we’ll get the NO on 98 message out to lots of people. We’re expecting some media at this event so a good turnout would be great! We’ll have some snacks and hope to even have music!

So far we’ve delivered over 60,000 pieces of NO on 98 literature door to door—let’s reach 75,000 this weekend!

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard last week in the hot weather having to deal with the hills of Noe Valley and mazes of Glen Park! We got the tough stuff done last week, so this week will look easy!

Also, add to to your calendar: NO on 98 Press Conference & Rally, Wednesday, May 7, 12 Noon at Civic Center Plaza (City Hall side). This will be a big media event, so we want a large turnout if you can make it.
