Berkeley Library Bond Controversy; SF Housing Element …

by on May 18, 2011

To the Editor:

Thank goodness Judith Epstein has the communication skills to be able to describe this complex issue so thoroughly. Obviously she has followed it much further than any journalist might, since she is a CLU member/activist up from the ground floor. City officials: beware that your constituents cannot be fooled all of the time!

To the Editor:

The much bigger issue is passage of the new housing element for San Francisco. The BOS, even the three that voted against it (Elsbernd, Chu, Farrell) want to double the density of San Francisco and in that process, eliminate parking standards for new development. The BOS and Planning Commission has declared war on single family homes. The so called “progressives” that run this city want to turn San Francisco into “The Matrix” where we are all confined and do as we are told.
