Appellate Court Reinstates Ohio Election Challengers

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeal voted 2-1 early this morning to allow political parties to sit in polling places and challenge the eligibility of Ohio voters. The decision overturns two federal court rulings that these challenges would create havoc in the election process, and fosters discrimination against African-Americans. The decision was written by judges appointed by George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.
