Illegal aliens as publicly funded day laborers???

by on June 20, 2004

Dear Beyond Chron,

In your article, “San Francisco Says To Gavin Newsom: We Won’t Have A Father’s Day Until You Return Our Program Funding”
On Friday, June 18, 2004, you seem to be in support of the “Day Labor” problem. It is my understanding that this program supported (hopefully past tense) employment of illegal aliens on a cash (tax fraud) basis. The government should not ever fund such black market, underground programs. Just what part of “illegal” don’t the proponents understand? Gavin can sleep well with no Father’s Day card from this group.

Kevin Wallace,
Actual tax payer and legal, heavily taxed and insurance burdened, employer.
